Welcome to X-Shred — the app for your day on the mountain.
Who we are
X-Shred UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a small company based in Nieheim, Germany, registered with the commercial register at Amtsgericht Paderborn. We ski and snowboard ourselves, and we build the app we wanted on the mountain: one that works while the phone stays in your pocket.
Our story
The idea came on the slopes. Tracking in one app, maps in another, finding your friends in a third — and all of it needing bare hands and a free minute. We wanted one thing that answers when you talk to it.
Where we are now
X-Shred is in closed beta. We are testing on real mountains with a small group of riders before opening it up. If you want to be part of that, sign up on the beta page — we get in touch when there is a spot.
What the app does not do
X-Shred is not an emergency or rescue service. It does not call for help and it does not alert mountain rescue. In an emergency, use 112 or your local mountain rescue number. It does not replace avalanche equipment, piste rules or your own judgement. Position, route and map data can be inaccurate or out of date.
